The Malaysian Journal of Emergency Medicine (M-JEM) is the official journal of the College of Emergency Physician Academy of Medicine Malaysia (CEP AMM). It has it's humble beginning with inaugural issue in Year 2016, publishing original articles and case reports. It is a peer-reviewed open access, fully online journal that is published bi-annually. The journal's scope encompasses all aspects of emergency medicine, such as traumatology, emergency and critical care ultrasound, toxicology, pre-hospital care, paediatric emergency medicine, geriatric emergency medicine, palliative care, hyperbaric medicine, disaster medicine, neurological emergency, simulation medicine, and administration. This journal features editorial, original articles, case reports, short communications, commentaries and letters to editors. Manuscript can be submitted on line using the methods described in the submission section.

All submitted articles:

  • must be original
  • must be previously unpublished research results
  • must be experimental or theoretical
  • will be peer-reviewed
  • may not be considered for publications elsewhere at any time during the review period

AIMS AND SCOPES

It serves primarily as a forum for education and intellectual discourse for health professionals namely in emergency medicine. It aims to improve the quality of emergency patient care in Malaysia and South East Asia by disseminating knowledge. It also aims to distribute and expand medical data and build a scientific community of emergency medicine. We are committed to publication of high quality research, educational material, and perspective that will be of interest to a broad audience of emergency practitioners, including physicians, nurses, and paramedics, within different settings and in different countries
